Maldives’ President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is set to meet with business owners on Wednesday, 17th December. The President will give a special focus on the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during his meeting with industry stakeholders.
In a post on social media, The Chief Spokesperson for the President’s Office, Heena Waleed confirmed the meeting with the business owners is part of the series of meetings the president is conducting across the nation, encompassing different sectors of the economy and different communities. In the same post, she confirmed that the meeting will be held on 17th December, 0830 pm at Social Center in the nation’s capital Male’ City.
The President has met with local fishermen recently as part of these series of meetings. In a similar fashion, the president is also scheduled for a community meeting with the residents of Galolhu ward on Tuesday, 16th of December.
These series of community and sectoral meetings are held to as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to integrate the voices of the people to policy making and to listen to the concerns of the citizens and discuss solutions. As part of this initiative, the president has travelled to all inhabited islands and held community meetings in every island. In addition to the community meetings, sectoral meetings focused on different industries of the maldivian economy are also being conducted.
