Police search President Nasheed’s residence

Police on Wednesday evening searched former President Mohamed Nasheed’s residence in Malé as part of an ongoing investigation.

Police executed the search warrant at Galolhu, Kenereege between 8:40 and 9:21 Wednesday night.  

Police added that they had also obtained a court warrant to search the home of Parliamentarian Eva Abdullah, Galolhu Nilaaveli, but was unable to conduct the search as the house was locked.
