A branch of the National Career Services (NCS) has been opened in southernmost Addu City.
The branch was inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development, Dr Ali Haidar.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister said employment is linked to human dignity, purpose, and societal role. He said the NCS connects job seekers with employers, training centres, and skill development opportunities, while also helping youth adapt to the changing world of work.
The objectives of NCS include providing career guidance to young people, preparing youth for the labour market and assisting in finding employment, linking the education system with the labour market, as well as enhancing youth skills and employability, contributing to the economy.
