MNU launches five year strategic plan

The Maldives National University (MNU) has launched its 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.

The five-year plan was launched at a ceremony by the university’s Chancellor Dr Mahmood Shougee and Vice-Chancellor Dr Aishath Shehnaz. The strategy is based on the university’s long-term vision and future development goals.

The Vice-Chancellor said the university achieved significant progress under the previous five-year plan, including strengthened management and quality assurance as well as expanded access to higher education nationwide. The new plan builds on past achievements and focuses on enhancing human capacity, equipping students with future-ready skills, and strengthening and expanding research output, she stated.

The university aims to sustain and advance its achievements, while contributing to progress for students, the country, and the region.
