Youth Hackathon 2025 concludes with Team Sea Stag taking top honour

The Youth Hackathon 2025 concluded this weekend with Team Sea Stag awarded first place and a cash prize of USD 6,484.52. The three-day competition, aimed at nurturing young talent in the coding and technology sector, brought together 85 participants who presented project pitches across four thematic areas.

Held from Thursday to Saturday, the hackathon concluded with a closing ceremony at which the final results were announced. Team Wave Minds secured second place, receiving USD 4,863.39, while Team Six Seven placed third and was awarded USD 3,242.26, along with gifts from sponsors.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Ibrahim Waheed said the hackathon provided an important platform for young professionals developing careers in the information technology sector, while opening new avenues for skills development and innovation.

The ministry noted that initiatives such as the Youth Hackathon also help identify national priorities by encouraging innovative, technology-driven solutions. According to the ministry, participants’ proposals addressed pressing societal challenges and demonstrated how youth-led innovation can contribute meaningfully to national development.
