Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel has stated that the Maldives remains committed to constructive dialogue, multilateral cooperation, and advancing shared solutions for peace, justice, and sustainable development.
He made the statement on X after attending the opening of the Doha 2025 Forum. The Minister is currently in Doha, Qatar, to participate at the 23rd Edition of the Doha Forum 2025, from 6 to 7 December 2025.
The Doha Forum is one of the world’s leading policy platforms, bringing together heads of state, ministers, policymakers, and experts to discuss diplomacy, governance, development, and global security. The theme of this year's forum is "Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress", and will focus on the implementation of policies developed in various sectors.
The Foreign Minister said the meeting will discuss the most pressing challenges facing the world today.
The Forum remains an important venue for addressing new global challenges, encouraging dialogue, and promoting practical, cooperative solutions. This year’s meeting is attended by representatives from over 150 countries.
