Saaid’s IOIG shoes presented to the President

Hassan Saaid, the country’s fastest sprinter, on Tuesday presented President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom with the shoes he wore when he won the 100m race at the 2015 Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG).

During a meeting held Tuesday morning at the President’s Office, President Yameen congratulated Saaid for his outstanding performance and thanked him for making the nation proud.

In addition, the President assured him the administration’s support towards enhancing his skill.

Saaid won first place at the 100m preliminary round of the “Olympic Games Rio 2016” held this month and a gold medal at the 100m round of the “Indian Grand Prix Athletics” tournament held last July.
