Economic Ministry appoints business service agents

Ministry of Economic Development on Tuesday appointed nine business service agents in a bid to expand its services across the country.

The agents were appointed under the Ministry’s efforts to outsource some of its services.

Speaking at the ceremony held to present appointment letters to the business service agents, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said the assigning of agents would make it easier for the Ministry to provide services to businesses based in the atolls.

He also revealed plans to further expand services in the atolls.

14 services, including business registration and issuing certain permits, will be provided by the newly appointed business service agents.
