Maldives Getaways, the organiser of BML Guesthouse Maldives Conference 2016, on Tuesday said the support received from partners show that it will be a huge success.
The country’s first guesthouse conference would be held on September 24 at Dharubaaruge Convention Centre, Malé.
The organiser said, the one-day event held annually, will include pre-scheduled business meetings, education sessions, networking events and interactive evening functions held exclusively for the guesthouse industry.
Dr. Hussain Sunny Umar, Business Development Officer at Maldives Getaways, said that the target to attract over 500,000 visitors to guesthouses across the country by the year 2020 could easily be achieved with support from event partners and stakeholders.
A total of 150 guesthouses have confirmed their participation in the event.
It would also see world famed travel agencies expedia.com and booking.com.
