Vice President Abdulla Jihad met with Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamed Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak in Malaysia on Tuesday.
During the meeting held Tuesday morning at the Putrajaya Convention Centre, the Vice President conveyed sincere appreciation for the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister and expressed gratitude for the assistance and continued support provided by the Government of Malaysia. The Vice President also commended the Prime Minister ambitious for hosting such an aspiring conference based on the Blue Ocean Strategy.
The discussions during the call included exploring avenues of further cooperation to enhance and strengthen the long-standing brotherly relations between the Maldives and Malaysia, and will continue to grow in the years ahead. The Vice President expressed his confidence that the Maldives will receive the same level of support, engagement and assistance from the Government of Malaysia and would reciprocate the same to Malaysia.
The Vice President was accompanied at the call by High Commissioner of Maldives to Malaysia, Mohamed Fahumy Hassan, Under Secretary at the President’s Office Mohamed Naseer, and Deputy High Commissioner Ghaniya Abdul Ghafoor.
