Public Service Media (PSM) and the Ministry of Health have officially launched a new joint programme, "Health Talk," to promote good health habits and foster a healthier society.
The inaugural event was attended by PSM Managing Director Ibrahim Nasreen and the Minister Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim at the PSM TV Building.
The collaboration is designed to provide the public with crucial health information needed to protect and maintain their well-being.
During the launch, Minister Nazim stressed that many current diseases could be managed more effectively by improving lifestyles.
"Our goal is to provide accurate, good, important information to the people through this programme," he stated, highlighting the show's focus on preventive care.
PSM Managing Director Ibrahim Nasreen noted that "Health Talk" would be different from the station's typical broadcasts, aiming to engage a wide demographic.
"I assure you that PSM will utilise all of its resources in this programme to the widest extent possible," Nasreen said, expressing his hope that the show would reach "different generations and different classes of people".
The successful production of the "Health Talk" programme is supported by a signed agreement between PSM and the Health Ministry.
Deputy Minister of Health, Ahmed Hamdhan Nasir signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health, while Managing Director Ibrahim Nasreen represented PSM. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to using public media as a tool for national health education.
