ADK School of Health Science concludes first training programme

ADK Hospital on Thursday said a lack of training opportunities remains the biggest challenge facing the country healthcare sector, and it is undertaking efforts to address the shortage of skilled medical personnel.

Speaking at the first graduation ceremony of the recently established ADK School of Health Science, Managing Director Ahmed Affal said the very first training programme conducted by the school was of high standard, and revealed plans to conduct courses targeting health sector staff at various levels.

He also announced that the school is now preparing to commence the country’s first ever Emergency Medical Technician Course.

2 nurses from Haa Alifu Atoll Hospital completed the 2-month training programme conducted by ADK School of Health Science.

Under the programme, both of them completed 260 hours of work in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
