Economic Ministry on Wednesday held a meeting to gather opinion regarding the ‘Made in Maldives’ logo and seal.
The meeting was held at the Orchid Hall of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and attended by local manufactures.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on the design aspects of “Made in Maldives” logo and seal, the Economic Ministry said.
The “Made in Maldives” logo is set to be introduced later this year, which the Economic Ministry said would help promote local products in international markets.
Abdulla Mohamed, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, said the Ministry aims to make it easier for local manufacturers to use the logo and seal in their products.
The Ministry earlier said it was drafting a guideline on the use of “Made in Maldives” logo and seal.
The guidelines would specify the standards of products that can use the logo and seal, it said.
