Country’s first vacations expo ends

The country’s first ever vacations exhibition wrapped up Saturday night.

The Vacation Expo Maldives was organised by private event management company High Rise Pvt. Ltd.

The purpose of the event was to promote, lead and advance the travel and tourism industry and acted as a perfect business platform attended by a huge number of locals and foreigners, trade professionals and business owners associated with the travel sector, High Rise said.

The organiser said 39 exhibitors participated in the exhibition, including travel agents, tour operators, guest houses, regional tour organisers and airlines promoting airfares, tours, adventure, leisure and family vacations.

The three-day event was held at the National Art Gallery.
