Islamic Ministry on Wednesday evening launched an Arabic translation of Doing Business in the Maldives, along with two other books.
The three books were officially launched by Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Ahmed Ziyad, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Abdulla Nazim, Minister of Health and Matrek Abdullah Aldosari, the Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives.
Doing Business in the Maldives is a guidebook originally published in English by the Economic Ministry. It is an introduction to the business environment of the country, and provides an overview of the legal and regulatory matters related to doing business in the Maldives.
The second book launched Wednesday evening titled “Maldives: The Islamic Minaret in the Indian Ocean”, was written in Arabic Language by the Islamic Affairs Minister.
In the book, Dr. Ziyad looks at the history, culture, traditions and social norms of the country.
It also looks at how Maldives had always been a moderate Islamic country, and about the unity of the Maldivian people.
The third book launched Wednesday evening, titled “Children in Islam”, was written by Sheikh Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa, the President of the Centre for Holy Quran.
It is a translation of “Children in Islam: Their Care, Development and Protection”, published by al-Azhar University of Egypt and UNICEF.
