Maldives Getaways Pvt. Ltd. on Wednesday said it had signed partnership agreements with 14 companies to organise the Guesthouse Maldives Conference.
On Wednesday, it signed a partnership agreement with Maldive Gas Pvt Ltd.
Speaking to the media at the signing ceremony, Dr. Hussein Sunny Umar, Business Development Director at Maldives Getaways, said “the purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for local guesthouse businesses to meet with prospective business partners and promote their businesses.”
“The conference will provide an opportunity to further promote the country’s guesthouse industry. Over 150 representatives from local guesthouses and international travel agents will participate in the conference, planned to be held on September 24,” he added.
The guesthouse industry is thriving across the country with over 300 guesthouses managed by private individuals and companies.
