Bank of Maldives Plc (BML) on Monday said it had sold US$115 million to travellers over the past 2 years.
The bank said in July alone it issued over US$5.6 million to customers wishing to purchase US dollars for the purpose of travelling abroad.
“We remain the largest provider of this service in the country. We often caters to over 10,000 travellers per month,” the bank said.
The bank is currently working to allow VISA Debit Card customers to do overseas transactions worth US$1,000 per day, through ATMs and POS terminals.
