The Military Parade and Cultural Display set to be held Saturday evening as part of the Independence Day celebrations was postponed.
The Home Ministry postponed the event to Sunday night due to bad weather.
It said the Military Parade and Cultural Display is now scheduled to be held at 9PM Sunday night at the National Stadium.
It will be similar to last year’s event held to mark the Golden Jubilee of Independence.
According to the Ministry, the event would feature a performance by 600 students from 9 schools, boduberu, and cultural performances by over 120 participants.
It would also feature a military parade by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) and Maldives National Cadet Corps.
