President Muizzu Meets Saudi Crown Prince, Praises Kingdom’s Support for Pilgrims

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has attended a special meeting hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, held on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, for dignitaries visiting Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.

The meeting was attended by heads of state, dignitaries, special guests of the King, and leaders of Hajj missions of various countries. Notably, President Muizzu was seated next to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during this year's meeting.

The President and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed attended this year's Hajj at the special invitation from the Saudi government. The President was accompanied by several ministers.

Saudi Arabia has made easy arrangements for the pilgrims who went to the Saudi Arabia to perform the holy pilgrimage of Hajj this year. The President thanked the King and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the special hospitality, services and facilities provided to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

The Saudi government has always provided several facilities to pilgrims. This year’s inclusion of Maldives in the Makkah Route Initiative will significantly ease the travel process for Maldivian pilgrims. A wide range of services were also facilitated at Holy sites which are part of Hajj rituals during this year’s Hajj.
