President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Thursday ratified the fourth amendment to the Civil Service Act.
The amendment was passed by the Parliament at the 8th sitting of its second session, on July 18, 2016.
Following ratification, the Act has been published in the Government Gazette.
The act enables the Civil Service Commission to appoint Permanent Secretaries in accordance with the Ministers’ approval.
