Addu International Airport Pvt Ltd on Thursday said the airline selected to provide seaplane services in Addu City will be announced next week.
The company opened for Expressions of Interest to provide seaplane services in Addu City in April.
A seaplane terminal is currently being developed at Gan International Airport under the plan.
Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed earlier this week announced that development of the seaplane terminal would be completed and opened for business within the next two weeks.
He also announced that seaplane services would commence in Addu City within the next two months.
He also added that the runway expansion project was also coming to an end and that Gan would soon be transformed into a fully-fledged international airport.
