The Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (MIOT) Hospital has launched its rehabilitation services in the Maldives.
The multi-specialty hospital based in Chennai, India having served thousands of Maldivians over the years, has now brought its rehab services to its patients in the Maldives.
MIOT said the rehab center will be staffed by a qualified and experienced team, including rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, psychiatrists, physicians, speech language pathologists and other experts. Patients will also receive instant feedback from the headquarters in Chennai, it added.
In addition to the team of experts, the center will use the most advanced technology, medical equipment and machinery. The center will also provide rehabilitation for neurological diseases, cancer and sports injuries, MIOT said.
In addition, the center will provide general therapy services as well as emergency treatment services. The center will also provide treatment for amnesia, attention deficit disorder and sleep disorders under a resuscitation room and physiotherapy support.
According to the hospital, this center will further strengthen the relationship between MIOT and the Maldives while benefiting thousands of Maldivians.
