Authorities on Friday urged seafarers to exercise caution as severe weather conditions persist across the country.
The Met Office and MNDF Coastguard also advised the public to be cautious due to rough weather conditions affecting most parts of the country.
Maldives Meteorological Service issued a white alert for the northern and central parts of the country from 1750PM till 2350PM, forecasting heavy rain and average strong winds of 25 to 30 miles per hour and gusts of 50 miles per hour.
Following severe conditions across Male’ City region, authorities have suggested against sea travel. The Marine Police are closely monitoring the activity of vessels in the region.
Authorities urges seafarers to be cautious and check weather updates before setting out on their journeys.
