Minister Ameen to Address Global Aviation Challenges in Doha

Mohamed Ameen, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, has departed for Doha to participate in the High-level Ministerial Segment of the 2025 ICAO Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025), convened by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The gathering, set in Qatar's capital, runs from 14 to 17 April, bringing together aviation leaders and policymakers. Its final day will feature the high-level ministerial segment, a forum where top officials assess pressing developments in air transport facilitation.

Framing the event as an essential platform for international cooperation, ICAO stated that delegates would examine strategies to ensure the industry remains resilient amid technological shifts and evolving market demands. Under the theme "Facilitating the Future of Air Transport", discussions will centre on enhancing cooperation, improving efficiency, and fostering inclusivity in global aviation. As governments and industry leaders navigate rapid changes, ICAO has stated that emphasis will be placed on refining policies that promote seamless cross-border mobility.

A focal point of the conference is the ministerial segment, where policymakers will exchange perspectives on aviation's role in economic expansion and international connectivity. The agenda, according to ICAO, includes deliberations on initiatives designed to reinforce accessibility and efficiency within the global air transport network.

One of the key outcomes expected from the conference is the 'Doha Declaration on Facilitation of International Air Transport 2025', a resolution outlining measures aimed at advancing industry development and fortifying the sector’s long-term stability. Minister Ameen is slated to address the ministerial segment, joining counterparts from ICAO member states in high-level discussions set to shape policies addressing emerging challenges in global aviation, according to the transport ministry.
