Maldives-Saudi Fund Commit to Timely Completion of Ongoing Projects

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and the Chief Executive of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid on Monday reaffirmed their commitment to the timely completion of ongoing projects and emphasised their shared dedication to achieving impactful development outcomes.

The visiting Chief Executive paid a courtesy call on President Dr Muizzu on Monday morning at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, the President conveyed his gratitude to Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid for accepting the Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty (O.D.R.M.D), an honour presented in recognition of his exceptional leadership and the SFD’s significant contributions to the Maldives’ progress and prosperity.

The conferral ceremony was held earlier on Monday morning at the President’s Office.

President Dr Muizzu also highlighted that the support from SFD has been instrumental in the advancement of several key national projects, including the expansion of Velana International Airport and developments in the health and housing sectors.

Both the President and the CEO of SFD expressed strong interest in further strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing collaboration. They reaffirmed their commitment to the timely completion of ongoing projects and emphasised their shared dedication to achieving impactful development outcomes.
