Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Fukang on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad.
During the meeting held this morning, discussions were held on the close bilateral relations between the Maldives and China, and on areas to further expand cooperation between the two countries.

The Vice President and the Chinese Ambassador further discussed commerce, housing and other infrastructure projects being carried out in the Maldives with Chinese assistance.
Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Vice President on his recent appointment and expressed his confidence that relations between the two countries would strengthen further during his tenure.
