Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has extended his congratulations to the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Parliamentary Network on signing an agreement to strengthen global peace and stability.
The agreement between the GCTP and the NAM Parliamentary Network was signed during the 150th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly currently ongoing in Uzbekistan.
In a message shared on social media platform X, Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef congratulated both organisations on the signing of the agreement. He noted that the agreement will play a vital role in strengthening international relations and promoting core principles of diplomacy, adding that the Maldives takes pride in working with the GCTP.
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, GCTP, is an international organisation that works towards strengthening global relations, establishing peace and security, and eliminating racial discrimination.
