Agreement Signed for New Immigration Building in Uligan

An agreement has been signed to construct a new Immigration building in Uligan, Haa Alifu Atoll.

MTCC’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Ahmed Saudhy signed the agreement on behalf of the company, while the agreement was signed on behalf of Maldives Immigration by the Controller General of Immigration, Ahmed Faseeh.

According to Maldives Immigration, the new facility in Uligan will provide immigration clearance to passengers and crew members of foreign vessels arriving in the Maldives for bunkering services in Ihavandhippolhu, in live with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s instruction.

Currently, only seaport services are offered in Uligan. However, with the construction of the new building, passport and visa and other immigration-related services will become available at the location.

The government is expanding immigration services across the country, with plans to provide passport services in every atoll.
