Pursuit of Excellence Yielding Great Results: Hajj Corporation Chief

Hajj Corporation’s determination to provide excellent service to all its Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims has yielded positive results, the Corporation’s Managing Director Mohamed Shakeel has said.

Speaking to PSM News from Saudi Arabia, Shakeel said the improvements made by the Corporation are the direct result of efforts to improve the quality of services provided. He said the number of people who performed Umrah under the Hajj Corporation this Ramadan is almost three times higher than last year.

The considerable increase is down to the Corporation’s unwavering commitment to provide the highest quality of service to the Pilgrims under its care, he said.

"The number of people choosing the corporation has increased significantly. This is the result of the work done over the past year and in return we have gained the trust of the people," Shakeel explained.

One of the most important changes, Shakeel mentioned, was the use of modern trains from Mecca to Medina, cutting down the journey Pilgrims have to undertake from six to just two hours.

Shakeel said the Corporation is setting an example for other Umrah groups in the country, forcing them to make positive changes to food, accommodation and even transportation to boost quality of service.

According to the Hajj Corporation, 570 Pilgrims are performing Umrah this Ramadan under its care.
