Ministry of Environment and Energy on Sunday extended the deadline for the submission of entries to the Energy Efficiency Art Competition 2016.
The Ministry said the decision was made as some schools had requested for an extension. The new deadline for the submission of entries is July 19, the Ministry said.
The art competition is part of the advocacy programme of the “Strengthening Low Carbon Energy Island Strategies Project” implemented by Environment Ministry with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The objective of the competition is to select artworks which would be used to derive the design of Energy Efficiency Badge used by all Girl Guides and Scouts across the country.
According to the Ministry, the outreach of the activity is estimated to be more than 10,000 members of Girl Guides and Scouts.
