President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Anas as the new President of the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB).
Anas’s appointment follows the dismissal of Hamdhy Ageel from the position on 13 February. He was appointed to the post under the authority granted under Privatisation, Corporatisation, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses Act, which establishes the PCB and empowers the President to appoint the PCB's President.
Anas holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Maldives National University (MNU). Prior to this appointment, Anas has served as the Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Audit Manager at the Housing Development Corporation, and Associate Professor at the Maldives Business School.
