Nominations Open for Pension Office Board

Nominations have been open for a position on Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) board of directors.

MPAO is seeking to fill the vacancy of one of the four members representing the private sector on its board of directors.

The selection committee will shortlist three names from among the candidates for the post following which the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) will verify the eligibility of the candidates, MPAO said.

Prospective candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in business, economics or law, experience in pension or investment field and not hold any public or government position or be employed in a subsidiary company of a state-owned firm with a government stake of 50 percent or higher.

The deadline for applications will expire on 19 February at 1:00pm.

The Pension Office board consists of eight members. In addition to the Chairperson, the board consists of three members representing the public sector and four members representing the private sector.

Public sector is represented by a senior staff of the Securities Market Regulator, a senior civil servant of the finance ministry and a senior civil servant of the social security ministry.
