The Vice President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ibrahim Rasheed resigned on Tuesday after the process to remove him from the position was initiated by the Parliament.
Ibrahim Rasheed was appointed to the Civil Service Commission on 3 September 2020. Following his resignation, CSC thanked him for his services in a post on its social media handles.
Ibrahim Rasheed has stepped down, after the Parliamentary Independent Institutions Committee had recommended his removal from the post. He resigned before the committee’s recommendation was put to a vote.
The committee had initiated a probe into Ibrahim Rasheed following several complaints over staff recruitment and misconduct.
