Maldives Nominates Non-Resident Envoys to Egypt, Canada

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has nominated non-resident Ambassadors to Egypt and Canada and forwarded his nominations for Parliament endorsement.

The President has nominated, Ambassador of Maldives to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Sareer as the non-resident Ambassador to Egypt while Ambassador of Maldives to the United States, Abdul Ghafoor is the nomination for the non-resident Ambassador to Canada.

Both Ghafoor and Sareer are seasoned diplomats having served long stints in the foreign service.

Parliament during its sitting on Tuesday has forwarded the nominations to the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee for review.
