Government decides to redevelop Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu

The Government has decided to redevelop Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu, the main road which runs around Male’ City.

Housing Minister Dr Mohamed Muizzu said "the road will be resurfaced with asphalt as part of the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge project".

He said redevelopment of the road would be completed before the inauguration of the bridge.

According to the Ministry, the resurfacing work will initially be carried out in the Industrial Village Area.

The Government is currently undertaking a Male’ redevelopment project, which includes the development of the Industrial Village, parks and other recreational facilities, and road regeneration projects.
