Maldives and Saudi Arabia have held high-level discussions to explore ways to attract more Saudi investments in the island nation.
The discussions were held between the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Dr Abdulla Muththalib and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, during the former’s visit to Riyadh to attend the fourth edition of the Real Estate Future Forum.
“The discussions were focused on enhancing investment projects between the two nations for future development and progress,” the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure said.
As part of the visit, Minister Muththalib was also among the key speakers in the panel discussion based on New Frontiers: Balance and Innovation in the Real Estate Landscape, it added.
Saudi Arabia remains a key development partner of the Maldives with the ongoing project to upgrade the island nation’s main gateway, Velana International Airport (VIA) among the several Saudi aided infrastructure projects in the country.
