Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC) and Public Service Media (PSM) on Wednesday discussed plans to conduct training programmes in the field of broadcasting and media.
The meeting, held at PSM’s Radio Building, was attended by senior officials of the MBC and PSM. The discussions were focused on conducting courses and trainings for administrative and technical staff working in the field of media and broadcasting through PSM’s Maldives Media Institute (MMI).
Speaking at the meeting, President of Broadcasting Commission Mohamed Shaheeb highlighted the role MMI can play in overcoming challenges faced in providing necessary training to those working in the media and broadcasting sector. Speaking at the meeting, Managing Director of PSM Ibrahim Khaleel said that “this initiative will ensure all those working in the field are provided the opportunity to obtain relevant training”.
MBC and PSM have agreed to review the points discussed in the meeting and sign an agreement regarding the proposed training programmes.
