President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his congratulations to Joseph Auon on his election as the new President of Lebanon.
In his message, the President noted the close bilateral relations that exist between the Maldives and Lebanon, which are founded on Islamic values and shared interests. He expressed his commitment to work together to further strengthen the brotherly ties between the two countries, and wished the President success and wisdom in leading Lebanon towards greater peace and prosperity.
President Dr Muizzu concluded his message with personal wishes for President Auon's good health and happiness, as well as for the peace and progress of the brotherly people of Lebanon.
