The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development has invited applications for the seven MBBS scholarships from Bangladesh.
The scholarship by the Bangladesh government under the regional cooperation body, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has designated seven slots for the Maldives, according to the Ministry.
The courses available under the scholarships, include six MBBS Bachelor's Degree programmes and one BDS Bachelor’s Degree programme.
Applicants must meet the requirements set by the Maldives Medical and Dental Council along with any additional criteria required by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council or by the respective universities.
The Ministry said that all eligible candidates will be nominated, but the Bangladesh Health Protection Institute (BHPI) will select the scholarship recipients from the nominees.
Applications for scholarships can be submitted through the main EDU portal of the Ministry. The deadline for applications will expire on 14 January at 12pm.
