Temporary Road Closure on Majeedhee Magu for Flood Prevention Works

The area in front of Male’ Grand on Majeedhee Magu has been closed off to facilitate drainage improvement on the road, leading to changes in traffic flow in the capital city.

The Male’ City Council stated that the closure was part of ongoing efforts to resolve flooding issues on Majeedhee Magu, the city’s main road. While the work will be conducted in block sections, the first block, which is the area in front of Male’ Grand, is currently under construction.

The works are scheduled to be carried out from 28 December 2024 to 4 January 2025.

The changes in traffic flow will affect Majeedhee Magu between Chaandhanee Magu and Rahdhebai Magu. The Council has apologised for any inconveniences that may be caused to road users.
