Maldives has posted a revenue of around USD16.1 million from Import-Export in November.
According to statistics from the Maldives Customs Service (MCS), imports excluding fuel, remained largely the same in comparison to last year with goods worth USD220.5 million.
However, with fuel, imports last month were down with USD259.4 million compared to USD278.9 million in November last year.
Machinery and electrical equipment, fuel products and food items were the main imports in November, amounting to USD32.4 million.
Majority of imports were from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, India, Singapore and Malaysia.
The import value of food items stood at USD57.3 million. Imports of machinery and electronic equipment stood at USD46.5 million while expenditure on fuel was Rs USD37.7 million in November.
According to the MCS statistics, Maldives exports have declined last month.
In November last year, the country exported fish products worth USD14 million. However, fish exports stood at USD7.8 million during the same period this year.
