Apollo Group Highlights Advanced Cancer Treatments and Affordable Care

India’s Apollo Hospitals has shared detailed information on the latest treatments and services available at their facilities.

At a press conference held to brief the media on the services offered by the hospitals, the Apollo Group emphasised its multidisciplinary assistance provided to patients, specially cancer patients.

The Apollo Group noted that investigations are conducted in collaboration with doctors in the Maldives to diagnose patients and identify the necessary treatment in non-emergency cases.

Dr Sathish Sathyanarayana, a highly skilled neurosurgeon who works at Apollo Hospital Bangalore’s Neurosurgery Department, highlighted that the Group’s aim is to provide modern services at the lower costs compared to Western countries.

“We provide all services that a patient may need. If a Western country were to provide the same services, they would cost 25 times more. We believe providing treatments that are safe and affordable is top priority,” he said.

The cancer treatments available at Apollo Hospitals include treatments such as proton beam therapy and cyberknife therapy, in additional to conventional treatments. These treatments directly target cancer cells in the body, with minimal radiation exposure to other areas. This allows treatment options for those who do not require radiation treatment, as well as those who cannot undergo surgery.

In addition to cancer treatments, Apollo provides online consultations, including post-operative consultations. The hospital assured comprehensive service and assistance to patients throughout their treatment journey.
