President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday met with the Alifu Dhaalu Atoll Council to address pivotal developmental issues concerning South Ari Atoll.
During the meeting held at the Secretariat of the South Ariatholhu Atoll Council, council members deliberated on several key topics, including the installation of solar panels at the school and the potential allocation of Alifu Dhaalu Lonuboi to generate additional revenue for the council.
Council members also discussed the development of healthcare, transport, tourism in the atoll. Furthermore, council members highlighted the shortage of picnic islands and requested government intervention to establish such facilities.
Speaking at the meeting, President Muizzu emphasised the government’s commitment to developing transportation services through the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) initiative.
He assured the council that the government would also address other concerns raised during the meeting.
