President Dr Muizzu Commences Two-Day Tour of Alifu Alifu and Kaafu Atolls

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Thoddoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll, embarking on a two-day visit to several islands in the Alifu Alifu and Kaafu Atolls. He received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Thoddoo this morning.

During his visit to Thoddoo, President Dr Muizzu is scheduled to meet with members of the Thoddoo Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC). Following these meetings, he will engage with the residential community of the island.

After his engagements in Thoddoo, President Dr Muizzu is set to travel to Rasdhoo and Mathiveri within the same atoll. In Rasdhoo, he will meet with members of the Alifu Alifu Atoll Council, Thoddoo Island Council, and Ukulhas Island Council.

Following his visit to Rasdhoo, President Dr Muizzu will proceed to Mathiveri, where he will meet with members of the Himandhoo Island Council, Maalhos Island Council, Feridhoo Island Council, and Bodufolhudhoo Island Council. He will also hold discussions with the WDC members from these islands.

On Monday, President Dr Muizzu is scheduled to visit Gaafaru, Huraa, and Himmafushi in the Kaafu Atoll. During these visits, he will meet with the respective Island Councils and WDCs, as well as the residential communities.

Throughout his tour, President Dr Muizzu aims to address the concerns of the Island Councils and WDCs regarding the development of their respective islands. He will also enquire about the progress of infrastructure and socio-economic developmental projects undertaken by the government in these regions.
