President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended felicitations to the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on the occasion of the UAE's 53rd National Day.
In separate letters sent to the President and Vice President of the UAE, President Dr. Muizzu reiterated that the government of the Maldives remains steadfast in its commitment to preserving and strengthening the strong, brotherly ties and development cooperation between the two countries. The president concluded his messages by expressing his best wishes for the health and well-being of the President and Vice President of the UAE, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the UAE.
On a post shared on social media commemorating the joyous occasion, Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef also conveyed greetings to the leaders of the UAE. The vice president stated that this milestone resembles the notable progress and unity of the nation. He additionally wished for continued prosperity and success to the UAE, reaffirming the commitment to further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two nations.
The National Day of the UAE is celebrated annually on December 2.
