14 individuals selected for waste management training in India

The government has selected 14 individuals from various atolls, to attain waste management training from New Delhi, India. This opportunity represents the government's commitment to enhance waste management in the islands.

The Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy revealed that the selected individuals will obtain training from TERI School Of Advanced Studies. They will complete the four-day "Waste Management System: Operation and Maintenance" training programme offered from the institution.

The government has been exerting several efforts to enhance waste management in the islands. As such, it has been sending vehicles and other equipment used for waste management, and is developing regional waste management facilities in the Maldives.
