Deputy Prosecutor General Ali Sameer has resigned from his position. His resignation has been confirmed by the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Prosecutor General's Office has extended sincere appreciation for Sameer's invaluable and dedicated services, as the deputy prosecutor general. Sameer was appointed to the position on May 12, 2022, under the Prosecutor General Act.
Sameer had previously served as a Justice and the Chief Justice at the Civil Court. He additionally served as the Justice at the High Court and as a member of the Judicial Service Commission.
