STELCO saves USD 846,905 in business centre construction

Managing Director of the State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) Hussain Fahmy, has announced that the company has saved approximately USD 846,905 through the efforts of its employees during the construction of the new business centre.

The business centre is being developed as a one-stop shop for all equipment necessary for power plants, with construction having commenced last July. Fahmy noted that the project is nearing completion under the vision and leadership of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. He emphasized that employees of the company played a crucial role in the construction, significantly contributing to these savings.

The STELCO Business Centre will offer a wide range of essential equipment, including engines, transformers, cables, storage systems, and renewable energy solutions. Fahmy stated that this centre will ensure the Maldives is fully prepared for emergencies.

The business centre will feature a two-story building spanning 7,500 square feet. The existing store within the STELCO facility will be dedicated to customer care, with plans to expand services to enhance client support.
