Maldives and Italy discuss increasing tourist arrival from Italy

Maldives and Italy have held comprehensive discussions, aiming to increase the tourist arrival from Italy. The discussions were held between Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Faisal and Italy's Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè.

The discussions between the two ministers primarily focused on enhancing bilateral ties in various industries. Particularly the tourism industry. Minister Faisal stated that the discussions pertaining to increasing the number of tourists arriving to the Maldives from Italy and the investment opportunities in the Maldives for Italian businessmen.

The tourist arrival of the Maldives is significantly influenced by Italy being one of the top five tourism markets. The statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism indicates that a total of 107,799 tourists from Italy have visited the Maldives, as of October 6.
