President and Indian Prime Minister discuss strengthening bilateral relations

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has engaged in discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and India.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's official residence, Hyderabad House. Prime Minister Modi extended a warm welcome to President Muizzu during this significant visit to India.

The discussions focused on enhancing political ties and collaboration between the two countries. In addition to the official talks, the President is expected to sign agreements in key areas to further solidify the partnership.

President Muizzu is set to meet with President Murmu, Prime Minister Modi, and other senior officials to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation between the two nations.

The President’s itinerary includes visits to New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore as part of his inaugural trip to India, which is taking place at the invitation of President Murmu. He is accompanied by a delegation of senior government officials, and the Government of India has arranged comprehensive hospitality for the Maldivian delegation.
